Asian Pork Dumplings

I made these great little Pork Dumplings last night. They are great stand alone, paired with a tasty side or an appetizer, especially since the big game is coming. What better way to watch the Steelers win than eating some of your favorite finger foods. 


Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1 1/4 ground pork/hot sausage roll, cooked and drained
  • 2 handfuls fresh spinach, chopped
    •  or if you prefer, 1 9oz box frozen chopped spinach.. make sure it is thawed and squeezed dried
  • 3/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon black better
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuits - the flaky layer kind
  • 1 1/2 cup sweet and sour or sweet and spicy chili sauce
Directions:
  • Heat oven to 350 F.
  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except biscuits and sweet and sour sauce
  • Separate each biscuit in half. Press each layer in 3 1/2 inch round, being careful not to tare dough
  • Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon of pork filling on center of each dough round
  • Bring all side of dough up over filling, stretching gently... gathering in center above filling to form a dumpling; press gather dough to seal
  • On lightly greased large cookie sheets, place dumplings 2 inches apart
  • Bake 17 to 20 minutes or until side and top of dumplings are golden brown
  • Serve with sweet and sour or sweet and spicy chili sauce


These little dumplings are so incredibly good! Watch out, once you start eating you will find it hard to stop! :)
