Cheese-steak Wrap

Last night I didn't make anything fancy, in fact I haven't been making fancy things lately. However, I wanted to use up some of the prime rib we had leftover from the holiday. Nick loves cheese-steaks and has been talking about using some of the leftover prime rib to make a cheese steak so I did just that last night, in a slightly healthier rendition of a normal sandwich.

Here are the ingredients:

  • Prime Rib, sliced
  • American Cheese, 3 slices
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons leftover Au Jus
  • Cayenne Pepper, pinch
  • High Fiber Wheat Wrap

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Heat large frying pan on high
  • Add Worcestershire Sauce and Au Jus in skillet
  • Add sliced Prime Rib
  • fry over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes
  • top meat with cheese and allow to melt
  • meanwhile, warm wheat wrap in oven for 3 to 5 minutes - just until warm, but not too crunchy
  • add meat and cheese to wrap and fold like a burrito

This is such a great meal and semi-healthy sandwich. I have a problem with lots of foods, especially cheese. I tend to eat far too much of it and add it to everything I can in excess. To keep the calories under control only use  2 or 3 pieces of cheese, max!! However, if you are like me and get weak in the knees for cheese, have no fear the wheat wrap really helps you out in this meal. I'm all about high fiber products, while one wheat wrap has about 200 calories [which seems like a lot] it also has low fat and 21 FIBER!! It's incredible!! The fiber alone outweighs the calories. IT IS THE BEST CREATION, EVERRRRRR!!!

Nick and I both enjoyed this tasty wrap and I hope you do too if you give it a try!

Until next time, happy creating!
