Frozen Limeade

Good Morning everybody! It’s Wednesday!! I know it is not Friday, but you can see the light at the end of the tunnel sitting at the top of a Wednesday afternoon. I told you all that Tuesday was our D-Day with the moving company; the agent was coming to assess the damages to all of our belongings. Well, he came and, surprisingly, he was very nice. In fact, he was shocked to see all of the damages. Because of our visitor, dinner was pretty quick last night. I will blog about that dinner another day; yep, even though it was quick and easy, the recipe is well worth a blog post. Today I have another awesome summertime drink.

If you can think back a week or two you will remember that I made Limeade. Well the limeade was pretty tasty; however, it was incredibly potent! Much of the potency can be attributed to boiling the water, sugar and lime zest. While Nick LOVED the Limeade, I was a little less impressed because the flavor was packed with a punch. Even though it was potent I wanted to enjoy it because Limeade is one of my favorite drinks. Thinking fast I got down to business recreating my tart little summertime drink. Born from this creation was a sweet Frozen Limeade.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • In your blender add a couple of handfuls of ice [1 ½ to 2 cups]

  • Add about ½ cup of limeade
  • Blend until the drink is the consistency of a slush [10 to 20 seconds]

  • Drink

This is the perfect recipe for those warmer days, especially when your friends and family are bored of the classic summertime drinks. I have said it before and I will say it again, slushies are one of my favorite drinks in the entire world. I hope to convert everybody else to my world of frozen drinks!

Until Next Time,

Happy Lime Freezin’
