Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip & Pretzel Squares

Happy Monday Foodies. Good Morning! Happy Afternoon! It’s already been one of those days. For some reason I have been staring out into space all day today and cannot snap back into reality; what’s up with that?

This weekend was one for the books; Nick and I wanted to go into DC to see all of the Cherry Blossoms this year. I mean, it’s our first year back on the east coast and in NoVa. We had to make a pretty quick decision to see the beauty that are the blossoms because of this mild winter. I thought we were going to have a couple of extra weeks, but I will be surprised if they will still be beautiful at the end of this week. I took a ton of pictures and all three of us really enjoyed ourselves.

Yep, all three of us.

We took Pippy! We cannot leave him behind. However, driving into DC  is a mess not worth the headache, so we did some due diligence and found out that Pippy can ride on the VRE and the Metro {as long as he is in a doggie carry on bag.}

No problem!

He did really well, so Nick and I were especially excited to know we can take Pippy anywhere we want to.

I took a ton of pictures and on our way out of the city I decided to snap a couple of pictures that were of some beautiful flowers. That’s when it happened - a ground wasp, a bee or some other unidentifiable bug violated me. Something bit me or stung me and really caused some pain. It still hurts to walk a little bit and it left a horrid bruise on my foot and toes. Darn thing.

I guess that is what I get for jumping into shrubbery that doesn’t have a welcome sign. I have definitely learned my lesson – send Nick in.

Just kidding.

Let’s get down to why you’re here – the recipe. I decided to whip up something sweet for Nick and his coworkers. Um, it’s absolutely sinful.
That is the ONLY warning I can give you. Take a look at these Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip & Pretzel Squares.

Holy Cow is right. I hear you!
