Pizza Stuffed Chicken

Happy Friday foodies! I am pretty excited for this weekend… actually, I am usually excited every weekend. However, this weekend Nick and I are going back to the design studio to pick out some of the options for our house! I have a recipe that you should make this weekend; it’s a perfect weekend meal. Take a look at these Pizza Stuffed Chicken Breasts. Nick and I loved them. We paired them with some pasta, which made this the perfect dinner!

Ingredients:

Recipe Adapted from Dashing Dish

  • 2 large chicken breasts, pounded and sliced in half and half again
  • 5 slices provolone cheese, divided
  • ½ can tomato sauce
  • 30 pepperonis
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Garlic salt
  • Italian Seasoning

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • Prepare a baking sheet with foil, and spray with non-stick cooking spray
  • Lay chicken out on a prepared baking sheet
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic and Italian seasoning
  • Coat one side of the chicken with tomato sauce, top with cheese and then top with 2 or 3 pepperonis
  • Roll up each chicken breast up and place seam side down on the baking sheet
  • Pour remaining pizza sauce over the top of the chicken breasts and place a pepperoni on top of each chicken breast
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through
  • Serve with some pasta, side salad and ENJOY!
